I have another Halloween Treat for you guys this Week on "Games from the Crypt 2024",which heres another interesting project I wanted to do for awhile now,which for this week,I'll be doing a Comparisions Walkthrough between the Original Turbo Grafx 16/PC Engine CD Version Castlevania Rondo of Blood and it's 2007 PSP Remake Version known as Dracula X Chronicles.3
So yep! You heard me Right,just like with Sega's Monster World IV: Asha in Monster World,Castlevania Rondo of Blood was another 2D 90's gem which also received a 3D Remake,which this remake came out on the PSP way back in 2007 which was bundled in a package along with an HD Remastered Version of Castlevania Symphony of the Night!
So yep,for this Halloween Playthrough,i'll be tackling the 2 different versions of "Stage 2: O Lord,Please give me Strength"
The PSP Version is very nice for what it was Which I love how they made the Backgrounds more realistic and Added CGI/Anime-style Cutscenes during the Stages which is all cool and all but.....ehhhhh.......But I perfer Maria Renard's Old Design from the Turbo Grafx 16 Original.lol.......That New Fancy Attire Redesign version of Maria which she's now sporting French Wabdrobes now???.....ehhhh...it's not bad,which at least it's Cute,and while she looks more mature in this version,but i perfect her Original "Princess Peach"-like design from the Original,and plus,you just can't Beat the Original's Epic 90s Hardrock Soundtrack from the Turbo Grafx CD Version,which still holds up well Today!:P
But I've seen WORST,at least the PSP Version is nowhere nearly as badly botched/butchered like that awful Nintendo Switch Remake of "Link's Awakening",the less we speak of that abtrocity,the Better!
Sorry PSP Owners,I'm gonna have to give the winner to the Turbo Grafx CD original here in Terms of Both Music and Character Designs!.lol
ironically enough,that new redesigned version of Maria Renard was later reused for that Recent Netflix Castlevania Animated Series "
